December already?

I'm not too sure
How I'm supposed to feel
Or what I'm supposed to say
But I'm not, not sure,
Not too sure how it feels
To handle every day
And I miss you love
-Silverchair -- Miss You Love
The last few weeks have been absolutely insane for me.
So glad I only have ONE job, school has been absolutely crazy and I have had so much work to do that I haven't had any time or energy for my blog.
This is my last week of classes and I definitely plan on taking my camera out for the Holidays, and I promise I will be updating more.  Thank you for not UNFOLLOWING :)

I am only doing this post because a couple promoters took some pictures when I went out to a club for my friend's birthday, I worked late at my bar and downed a quick caesar, then made my way to the club where I had a few tequila-and-tonics and danced the night away with my girlfriends, and a few guys that made it out.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEN!!!  Love you :)

My camera has been resting and I am itching to use it.  Stay tuned and as always thanks for reading.
The girl in the background's face is priceless... she had an incident with some of my girlfriends in the coat check line by cutting them off because she thought she was more important.  Some people really need to relax.  :)

 Wearing:
Dress - H&M
Necklace - 3$
Tights - Forever 21
Jessica Simpson pumps

Some of the ladies!!!  The photos were taken after quite a few drinks.  One thing I don't like about clubs is how guys grab at you, but I love checking out the outfits and fashion.  It was a great time!

The other night I went to the Usher concert in Toronto.
Amazing!!!

Here are a few more club pictures!

Can't wait to finish this semester and focus more on my blog.

Love to you all

Transition to Winter

I’ve had the time of my life
And I’ve never felt this way before
And I swear this is true
And I owe it all to you
- THE TIME -- JENNIFER WARNES

I just wanted to apologize for the lack of posts, I have been super busy with schoolwork ontop of my two jobs.  Working at Club Monaco has really put a restraint on my love for fashion since they operate with a very strict outfit policy.  All in all I have decided that retail is not for me.  After my manager has told me numerous times that my outfit is not appropriate to wear (yawn), as well as waiting around at 8:00 a.m. for the assistant managers until 8:15 a.m. when they decided to show up.  The chores were tedious and as much as I loved helping style the customers, I grew tired of it quickly.  I was top of sales and transactions every single shift I worked and I was still treated with patronizing comments and disrespect constantly.
I will continue to work at the bar where it is fun, as well as possible to make as much money as my entire paycheck in tips in one shift.  I am also continuing to work on a new television show called Musically Yours, Deirdre Mallehe.  To learn more about it, visit the website.

The snow is getting close to appearing around here and I thought I would put some creative energy into my blog since my juices were restrained while working at Club Monaco.

SOME TRANSITIONAL PIECES

Leggings

I am loving the faux-leather look.
There is a pair from Club Monaco I love, but I also have a pair much less expensive from Zara!

Lace, patterns, plain black and other opaque colours are your best bet.
Shop Kitson

Nordstrom

Scarves & hats

I love anything soft and warm since I live in Canada.
Cashmere, silk, and fur: they will keep you stylish, happy and warm.

Danier
Available in lots of colours!

Cashmere scarf, Christopher Kane

Zara winter lookbook

Boots

The military look is in!  If you are going to pick up this trend I definitely recommend the boots.  AMAZING!

 Nine West Boots

Burberry Porsum 2010

Burberry's spring line showcases the best biker pieces.  Why wait until spring to rock this look when there are so many great biker boots and winter is the best time to show them off?

Aldo Shoes

Gloves

This season, the longer the better!
Keep your fingers warm with suede or leather, or embellish them with lace or other not-so-warm features.

Socks

You didn't think I would end this post without mentioning socks, did you?
You can wear these at any length, from mid-calf to way above the thigh.  If you are cold, wear them ontop of nylons or other tights!

Club Monaco fall lookbook

Last winter.  Socks over polka dot tights from Forever 21, H&M dress, Coach clutch.

Buffalo dress, knee socks and shoes from Le Chateau.

Bag from ASOS, skirt and top from Guess, random knee socks.

Le Chateau kilt, ruffled top from WINNERS, DIY belt and more random knee socks.

Me and my best friend last winter!
Socks & shoes from Calvin Klein.

And some fun friend pictures from the weekend...
I didn't get a new costume, I dressed up for work but other than that I just hung out with my best friend Natalie who was visiting from Edmonton and my other good friend Jessica.  Just a couple Blackberry pictures!
 Getting ready with the girls!
Wearing faux-leather leggings from Zara, blazer from H&M, random tanktop.

Out for drinks!  Looks like me and Jess should hit Natalie's tanning salon.  ;)

Next up:  a winter bag and jacket post!  Hope to get an outfit shot soon too.

Love to you all!

Fashion Jam for charity

FASHION JAM 2010

This was the second annual Fashion Jam for charity and this year I had the wonderful chance to attend and help out with the event.  It showcased an array of local designers who are extremely talented, most of them are recent college graduates.  I met a lot of wonderful people and took a lot of great photos so without wasting any more time I will share them with you!  I took over 200 so here are a few of my favourites.  There will be more photos uploaded on the Facebook group if you wanted to check it out:

Model showing off for Media!  It was hard to get some of these pictures because lots of photographers were in my way.
Gorgeous models posing backstage!!!  Every single girl (and guy) was so sweet and great to work with!
Model down time, more cuties playing with props!  This was where the hair and make up was done too.
In these last two photos, we are going to play Where's Waldo except the Fashion version which is of course called Find the Fashion Faux-Pas.  FIND THE OUT OF PLACE PEOPLE IN THIS PHOTOGRAPH WHO ARE STANDING WHERE THEY ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO.
This girl was one of my favourite models for sure and it was really making me angry that these annoying girls were standing where there weren't supposed to be people.
These girls positioned themselves awkwardly and here are a few more photographs they ruined. If anyone recognizes these girls be sure to yell at them for me, I almost did!
A little over-exposed, but I loved this model too.  She was amazing!  Photo once again ruined by annoying girls standing at the bar.
Model coming close to poking the girls in the face.  I would have stepped another foot to the right and "accidentally" got them!

And some details:
Sheer pants!  Lots of shine and shimmer on this runway.
Clothes on the rack backstage ready to be worn!
What do you think of this daring ensemble?  The headpieces in this line were wild!
The host, Deirdre Mallehe, and special guest Justin Rego from the Bachelorette!

My outfit:
Me with Justin Rego's girlfriend!
They are a gorgeous couple, I don't watch the Bachelorette but for any haters out there, he is definitely happy!
I am wearing:
Club Monaco dress (gift from my new work!)
Jessica Simpson heels
Juicy Couture necklace worn as anklet
Necklace custom made by Helena Haughey

All photos taken by me!  (Except the ones I am in)

Thanks to all the models and designers!
A special thanks to Danielle McAllister, Mila Starr and Sara Imrie for providing clothes for the host, and for being so hospitable!

Here is the designer list:
(in no particular order, leave a comment if you want to know about a certain designer!)
