Transition to Winter

I’ve had the time of my life
And I’ve never felt this way before
And I swear this is true
And I owe it all to you
- THE TIME -- JENNIFER WARNES

I just wanted to apologize for the lack of posts, I have been super busy with schoolwork ontop of my two jobs.  Working at Club Monaco has really put a restraint on my love for fashion since they operate with a very strict outfit policy.  All in all I have decided that retail is not for me.  After my manager has told me numerous times that my outfit is not appropriate to wear (yawn), as well as waiting around at 8:00 a.m. for the assistant managers until 8:15 a.m. when they decided to show up.  The chores were tedious and as much as I loved helping style the customers, I grew tired of it quickly.  I was top of sales and transactions every single shift I worked and I was still treated with patronizing comments and disrespect constantly.
I will continue to work at the bar where it is fun, as well as possible to make as much money as my entire paycheck in tips in one shift.  I am also continuing to work on a new television show called Musically Yours, Deirdre Mallehe.  To learn more about it, visit the website.

The snow is getting close to appearing around here and I thought I would put some creative energy into my blog since my juices were restrained while working at Club Monaco.

SOME TRANSITIONAL PIECES

Leggings

I am loving the faux-leather look.
There is a pair from Club Monaco I love, but I also have a pair much less expensive from Zara!

Lace, patterns, plain black and other opaque colours are your best bet.
Shop Kitson

Nordstrom

Scarves & hats

I love anything soft and warm since I live in Canada.
Cashmere, silk, and fur: they will keep you stylish, happy and warm.

Boots

The military look is in!  If you are going to pick up this trend I definitely recommend the boots.  AMAZING!

 Nine West Boots

Burberry Porsum 2010

Burberry's spring line showcases the best biker pieces.  Why wait until spring to rock this look when there are so many great biker boots and winter is the best time to show them off?

Gloves

This season, the longer the better!
Keep your fingers warm with suede or leather, or embellish them with lace or other not-so-warm features.

Socks

You didn't think I would end this post without mentioning socks, did you?
You can wear these at any length, from mid-calf to way above the thigh.  If you are cold, wear them ontop of nylons or other tights!
